Kevin C. Nierenhausen- Who are you, really?

Hi folks. I’m asking for help in trying to get some more information.

First, the background.

About a month ago my wife was contacted by an old high school “friend” (Kevin C. Nierenhausen) and added her on Facebook. After a little while of chit chat and such the topic turned to missing children. Now we are not sure if this was done on purpose or what, as my wife and I are very active in this area and are advocates for change. He claims he is the chairman for SAVAC (Sexual Abuse Victims Association of Canada), though as of yet I am unable to confirm that. I can’t even confirm the existence of such an agency. He offered both my wife and I a position with Savac claiming we would be aiding in the online search for sexual predators. To us that would have been the chance of a lifetime to really make a difference and do some good. He went in to great detail talking about salary, benefits, parking pass, and even covering daycare cost. His answers to our questions were always prompt and seemed to be legit.

The first meeting was scheduled for the 15th, and this was to go through orientation and pick up the non-disclosure documents that had to be notarized and signed by a lawyer. He said we would both be given $500 each to do this, and if it did not cost us that much we could keep the rest.

Warning flags started going off.
This meeting was canceled because he said he was in a lot of pain and he had to go to the dentist to have wisdom teeth pulled. But when talking to him early in the week he managed to get in to the Dentist the next day. Confusing, because I was surprised he was told to wait a week in the first place. Interview is re-booked for the 18th.

The 18th comes around and an hour before we are to drop off our kids at daycare and start the trip in to Ottawa for the meeting his “girlfriend” calls and says that Kevin is (either in Calgary or on his way I cant remember) because his daughter has been in a car accident, so would have to cancel again. I was a little upset and told her so, that this was the second cancellation and we had made a lot of arrangements and spent money on it. Daycare etc. She replied that she was not involved and was just giving me the message. End of call. 5 minutes later Kevin calls accusing me of yelling at his girlfriend (I did not) and says ” I’ll deal with you when I get back mother***ker”.

We did a little digging. Both of the calls were made from HIS cell phone. So I called him and informed him we knew this, and I’d be digging more to find out exactly what is going on.

He has since deleted both of us from his Facebook.

Why would he get his girlfriend to call? Obviously he could have done it himself. Who gets their girlfriend to call potential employees to cancel an interview? Is that in any way shape or form a professional way of doing things? And he is supposed to be the Chairman? Or better yet, after already canceling once keep his word and have a colleague do it. Another sign that he is not who he says he is. Was this the first stage of a larger scam? After another cancellation would he be asking for money to speed up the process somehow? Or is it just some sick game by a sick person?

Is there such an organization as S.A.V.A.C (Sexual Abuse Victims Association of Canada)? He claims it is located at 222 Queen St in Ottawa.

Is he the Chairman?

Should he be calling potential employees mother***ker even if I was upset and raised my voice?

In my opinion, and based on this information and other posts in Facebook he is not who he says he is. It is very disturbing that someone is passing themselves off like that and playing games with peoples lives. If he IS who he says he is that is almost worse. THAT is the kind of person heading up an important agency like that? If it exists? Many questions, and we would like some answers.

Update:

The business (SAVAC) he claims that operates at 222 Queen St is not listed in any directory and no phone number can be found. Someone is going directly to the building to find out if anything can be found internally.

The person referenced in the house of commons post online  (Mr. Ron White) does not remember speaking to him nor does he recall any agency named (SAVAC). I have spoken to him myself.

Cybertip.ca says they are not affiliated with him in anyway and they have never heard of SAVAC.

The links on KCN’s Myspace page that list SAVAC and the supposed U.S counterpart do not go anywhere related to any such agency.

He claims there are over 2,400 people working there and that he himself makes over $250,000 a year. Look at the picture he has displayed on His Myspace, the one here on the blog. What do you think? Also, a simple reverse 411 gives you the listed address and street view can show you the location. Hardly a place to live for someone making that kind of money.

Nothing adds up, and it appears we have been duped by some kind of scam, we just caught on too quickly.

We will be investigating formal charges.

Something has to be illegal.
