Just a little CONSerned

Common Sense & Family Matters

Afghan Photo is a fake.

The picture here shows 2 women being transported to hospital following the air strike on 2 stolen fuel tankers. Look very carefully at the person on the right. Makeup has been used to make the injuries look more severe than they really are. It is a very poor job, and the deceit is obvious. If you copy the picture to Wordpad or something and enlarge it it becomes more clear that it is fake. The man in the driver seat is turned around looking at her. Not in too much of a hurry to get them treatment are they? Had to stop for a picture.

Aside from that I do not understand what all the uproar is about. If they were there stealing fuel from the trucks then they are guilty of a crime, no? The Afghan people had no business helping themselves to the fuel after the trucks got stuck and should have stayed clear. The Military did the right thing.

  1. Thanks for the pic and comments. The fuss is about loosing the war because our media and leaders do not have the will to fight for our way of life! So they play silly bugger games.

  2. The penalty for stealing fuel should not be death. Show a little compassion.

    • I didn’t say that should have been the punishment. I’m just pointing out that they were not in their homes. They were at a crime scene, stealing. So they were not innocent and this uproar over killing innocents is misplaced. Yes it is tragic but they should not have been there.

Maybe they should have tried contacting NATO and reporting the trucks there? Or maybe helping out and killing the Taliban instead of saying “too bad you got stuck but hey thanks for the fuel”.

  3. Not only is it a fake, but so are the claims that the Taliban “invited” civilians to siphon the fuel out of the disabled tanker truck.

The terrorists having no above board way to obtain weapons except through the sale of opium, known for using human shields, and known for forcibly recruiting folks to thier cause, its obvious that the “free” fuel was anything but.
The real story is more likely that when the tanker became disabled, the thugs surmised that an air attack was imminent and that they where not going to be able to transport the stolen fuel in time. They then forced the local villagers at gun point to do the heavy lifting and then kept enough distance so that when the atack came they could point the finger at NATO for the civilian deaths.

A curse on these parasites, may God visit a similar fate on them.

  4. VERY VERY bad make-up job. I think an artsy 10 year old could have done better.

I can’t think too much about this. A friend of mine is over there. Lives in FL. Couldn’t make a good living there. His career is repairing planes. He wanted to help his country and to make some money, so Jason is there. Took two years or so for his Clearance. Amazing. He is in his 30’s. I can hardly think about all of this.

His mother died while he was over there. I know why.

He can do a “tour”, then come back, and do another one. I am not sure how many times they can do that. We do write once a week or so. Thank God for email.
