Aaliyah Bedwell: About the Show

My first attempt at Blog Radio was not without it’s problems, but in the end turned out not too bad. Dr. Saturley was a delight to speak with and offered very intelligent and insightful answers to all the questions sent his way. Not all the questions were easy ones, and some will just have to wait until he gets a chance to examine all the parties concerned. If he gets the chance. I really don’t see a reason for the fathers side to go for this, they have already been found innocent, and cleared of any wrong doing. Putting themselves and the child through more of this is just furthering the turmoil in her life.

There won’t be any more articles on this subject until after the 30th when the next court date is due, and finished. Hopefully after that it will be settled for good. I believe this has gone on for far too long already.

Compliments of PattyCake;

“She is actually Beccah Beushausen, a 26-year-old social worker from the Chicago suburb of Mokenka who says she didn’t know how to free herself from the web of lies she wove.

“Soon I was getting 100,000 hits a week, and it just got out of hand,” she told the Tribune. “I didn’t know how to stop. … One lie led to another.”

The blog reached its peak at nearly a million hits when Beushausen wrote that baby April Rose was born alive at home — and then died mere hours later, the paper reported.

When supporters of “April’s Mom” found out her story was fiction, they were outraged and demanded that the Blogger be unmasked and held accountable.

“I know what I did was wrong,” Beushausen told the Tribune. “I’ve been getting hate mail. I’m sorry because people were so emotionally involved.”

There’s no evidence that Beushausen profited financially from the hoax or committed a crime.”

As mentioned in a previous article on this topic here false allegations of sexual abuse are not a new thing. In fact 50% of them relate to marital discourse. Astounding figure. And some websites will jump on any story if it will boost their readership. I suppose that has nothing to do with news, but it is worthy of noting. Just because you read it somewhere, does not make it true.

I’d like to take the time to thank Oceans, Papa, and Patty for all of their hard work and investigative talents in gathering much of the information you have read here about this case. And to all the dedicated readers and commentary who have put many hours in searching for answers. If it wasn’t for people like you the truth would stay hidden for much longer.

  1. I will be so glad when all of this is over and Connie and Karen can crawl back into the sewer and stay there! This is been so draining and for what? If all of this garbage happened in our little corner of the world, think how many other blogs have had issues? This case went world wide. Think of all the trouble this chick has caused and what is really sad is that isn’t the worst of it. The worst part is what she has done to this child. I do hope DT changes her name so she doesn’t have to grow up with this stigma.

  2. I hope this child does not suffer the ‘skeletons in the closet’ that are now out there by finding it herself in 8-10 years. I hope that much of it will be erased or simply have archived itself into oblivion.

To those that say this child will see how much her mother loved her and someday thank her for doing this I say PFFFFT..this was totally unnecessary. There were and are resources available out there Connie could have used. She could have also blurred her daughter’s face, refrained from using her real name, and not provided personal information in her effort to raise money. That is what this is about- raising money to go to trial to refute the results of the investigation and prove there has been abuse- to punish those who did not believe her, and to regain her custody of this baby.

She did this because she can’t accept the possibility she is wrong- no matter how many investigations and reports there are- if they do not agree with her – they will be wrong and or corrupt. She will point the finger at everyone and everything except herself.

And it has cost her the ability to share custody of her daughter. She needs counseling to deal with either or both the loss and the denial of facts. I feel she is in pain, and a living hell she created.

  3. Oceans, that is fascinating! I’ll have to look into April Rose,so sad the lengths people will go to.*for what purpose??maybe Connie is actually mentally ill. who know what lengths SHE would have gone to,to prove her point.very scary.that poor child, possibly that’s why DT never responded to her,he knew how SICK she really was.wonder if her boyfriend has an idea?

    • EXACTLY… and internet hoaxes don’t go on? Classic case with April Rose. How sick one’s mind can be for attention or revenge or something? Beyond me what it takes for people to be so cruel to kind hearted souls on the net.

They all deserve a very HOT afterlife for eternity.

  4. I’m curious if Connie or Tim have any ties to the Christian Cultural Center?

    • Terisa, I’m curious about the whole bunch of them too. Maybe one day soon we’ll have that ‘ah ha’ moment & understand what really happened here. It has all been very strange imo!

  5. I know I’m ready for this to be over. It’s getting old.

  6. I have watched many put their time & effort into discerning the truth in this case, more than so the so called ‘press’. People spent their own time, money & effort to find the facts. Not to mention emotions. And what I saw was it lead right back to where it started, 11 investigations found the father of being best parent. What if everyone believed what the ‘press’ told them was true? Think on that before you go ripping a child’s world apart. This baby didn’t deserve to be exploited by her own mother, nor should she be removed from a loving nurturing home.
I’m still waiting for the many bold statements of ‘we’ve got proof you guys’ to be revealed, well bring it on ‘PRESS’. I am appalled at the behaviour of the ‘press’, this was a living, breathing child’s LIFE, not some story, with a beginning and an ending! Facts, proof, how about it before you do a human being an injustice.
It’s one thing to rewrite a story for your blog after the fact, but when you go messing with living child you really need to back up & think before you speak.

    • And do not misunderstand my post as being just about jabbing so called ‘press’. I have shed many tears not because I ever believed this baby was being sexually abused by her father, but because of seeing her exploited, by her very own mother ( though under the names of other family & friends ), the one who should always protect you. While I may respect the father I won’t cry for him, he’s grown. It was about this babies life.
I can only imagine what it will be like for this baby to overcome this one day. I hope the mother is mentally ill, only for this child’s sake, it will make it easier for her to swallow.

The real press is the press, judges are judges & the two are worlds apart in the function they carry out. Yet a blogger ‘press’ some how qualified as a judge, of a child’s best interest, when 11 investigations by professionals & 8 judges had done their job?
When blogger news ‘presses’ start ruling the planet I want off.

      • I agree Beth. I have cried my eyes out so hard over this case for this poor child. So hard my eyes were like balloons and still swollen the following morning. Not for the allegations the mother alleges, but for this poor child being exploited and having such an ill mother who needs some intense therapy herself. I hope Connie gets the help she needs to one day be a healthy and active part of her daughters life.

        • Thank you Cubby. A mentally ill mother is the lessor of the evils, IMO. I too would hope if that is the case that Connie can be helped. Not only for baby A but for herself as well. It would offer this child some explanation when she is grown & learns of the story.

ok for the record, Simon and I have talked to this childs mother and we are both convinced now she is telling the truth. She gave us information that can prove her claim is correct and once we can get the courts or someone to listen she will be able to get the help she needs only we just hope it won’t be too late.
I can’t expect all of you to believe now as we do but I would appreciate it if you would stop trashing those in here that do believe. This blog is NOT only for Caylee and Haleigh. It is for all the innocent children in the world that need help and I believe this little girl definitely does. We are going to do anything we can to help her.
Connie NEVER asked me for a dime. All she wants is to save her daughter. She is not trying to exploit her daughter. She answered my questions honestly and didn’t hesitate. So please let those of us who choose to help continue to do so.
    Jan and Simon”

    (from the article)
“I suspect that if we do get into the computer forensics aspect Amara will end up with a good deal of egg on her face. Virtually the only press coverage of this case is right here on BNN and we are very careful to comply with the court order, so I can honestly say that no one here has had any direct contact with Connie Bedwell.”
