Selva Kumar Subbiah-Jail House Justice
A man convicted of raping more than 30 women, and suspected by police to have attacked over 500 has been stabbed several times while serving his 24-year sentence at the Kingston Penitentiary. Two inmates allegedly involved in the incident have been put into segregation while the incident is being investigated. Selva Kumar Subbiah is an immigrant to Canada and is scheduled to be deported when his sentence is completed in 2017.
This man is convicted of violently beating his victims after drugging them into unconsciousness. Other news articles on this subject can be found here and here.
Why did this man not get life in prison? The time he serving in prison is not 
even a year per victim, and that is not even considering all the others he is suspected of. I wonder if the investigation is continuing on those suspected cases. The victims of this man are serving a much harsher penalty than what he is serving.
The price of human life cannot be measured in time served, and the suffering of the victim’s families continues long after he is released. I am not surprised by the actions of the other inmates. Crimes against women and children are the lowest of the low, and there is real truth that there is honour among thieves.
After his deportation, I wonder how he will be welcomed. Justice for the victims may yet be received.

The words that grabbed me in this article aren’t that this man was stabbed…but rather that he is CONVICTED of raping 30 women and is only serving a 24 year sentence. WHAT? That isn’t even 1 year per woman he raped? How the HECK did this freak only get 24 years? What about serving 24 years after raping more than 30 women makes sense? This blows my ever-lovin’ mind! Too bad the other inmates didn’t finish what they started. This man should NEVER see daylight again! I am utterly outraged at the lack of justice to these women. How did this happen? And they suspect him in attacking many more women and they think he’ll be safe to walk the streets in 24 years? HELLO?! What idiot decided 24 years sounded like an appropriate sentence!?

I say they put all the Murderers, Chimos and SO’s in a cage together and let them fight it out. Time for them to feel the fear of being stalked, abused, raped and molested! Would be a great way to clear up our over population problems in the prisons. Let them all rape and kill each other! Justice served up with the bonus of reducing over-crowding, deterring future offenders who have yet to be caught as well as reducing our taxes that we MUST pay to house, clothe, feed and support these creeps!

I am a victim of this guy. I am also outraged that he will be out in 2017. It is crazy. His deviousness has no bounds. If he had set his mind on world domination, Hitler would have had some competition. The things he has done and continues to do from jail to victims is completely sick. This is a pervert who is not lurking in the shadows and dragging victims into the bushes. He stands right in front of his victims and charms his way into getting an advantage in order to destroy women. Then he is convinced that they enjoyed it. Totally messed up.

Nola…I am a Correctional Officer who oversees selva kumar subbiah and you might be happy to know I treat him like he has raped many innocent women…we now have an understanding he gets nothing from me and I am so sorry we have not done anything to prevent him from contacting his victims…this individual is nothing to me more than a piece of human garbage and cannot wait until this loser gets deported…he is attempting to say he is jewish just to fight his deportation…..did he send you a bunch of flowers thanking you for a wonderful evening after the sexual assault? You don’t have to answer that last question…he is devious at best.

Interesting. I am one of the main, lead investigators of this piece of garbage. I conducted the search warrants on his home and on his prison cell in Kingston Prison. The original Judge suggested that I, along with my partner investigating this scum should escort him back to Malaysia. I would LOVE to. I retired in 2011 after 32 years with the police and have never forgotten this bottom feeder. I always think of the victims and can only pray that some may have been able to move forward. I think of them often. I hear he is at Warkworth Institute now. Let’s not forget this piece of slime and be there when he is at the airport to ensure he is on the plane back home. And Richard (Selva) in the event that you get hold of this, yes the authorities in Malaysia have been notified and you are in for an interesting “surprise” welcome when you land there. You have brought SHAME to your homeland and THEY will not forget. Have fun!!!

Hi Brian Thompson thanks for your kind words. I have followed this case for years and I won’t stop. I believe he should remain here so we can keep an eye on him. I have a lot of unanswered questions. You are not the only one retired from this case 🙂

Hi D.L. Are you doing anything to prevent him from contacting his victims? Or any future victims? That’s the only way you can say sorry. Your message is somewhat disturbing 😦 You treat him “like” he has raped…he did, “we now have an understanding he gets nothing from me” ..what were you giving him in the first place? who gives you the right to ask her if she received anything?? Leave the victims alone! I would tend to think you would have more respect.

The bigger problem here is girls getting duped, not taking ownership for their part in it and then pathetically assigning blame to the guy.
I knew this guy as well. He was a little arrogant and very charming – but not anything like what Nola has described him to be.
As a taxpaying educated very responsible woman, I am devastated for all the victims of any physical or sexual abuse, globally. Then there is a very small percentage of specific cases that make me wonder …. IS IT A SEXUAL ASSAULT THE MORNING AFTER? …. or is it just anger and remorse for a string of bad personal decisions and especially if you were duped.
Is this just another scenario where another woman jumping on the free for all bandwagon to bash Richard/Selva, for retribution for their personal bad decisions? If so, this takes a lot away from the real victims of the real physical and sexual abuse globally.
Finally, for Nola to have the audacity to compare him and his case to Hitler and his genocide of six plus million Jews is a shame and a slap on the face to all the Jews worldwide, especially to the victims who were directly or indirectly affected by the Holocaust.

I have a question on the financial side of things.Don’t get me wrong I feel guilty for the survivors that this man assaulted in anyway but as I am reading the first point that comes up is that he is only being deported AFTER he serves a 24 year sentence. Is there a reason he has to stay here and serve his time for these crimes? Do we not have enough of out own home grown criminals to “support” while they are incarcerated that we don’t need to be supporting those from other countries? You are convicted of the crime then go home and face the punishment for those crimes! Not sit all nice and cushy in a Canadian prison playing games and watching television and eating better than a lot of innocent people do in this country!

While i agree tht the man is vile…all serial killer/ rapists are so twisted, they can target anyone anytime…..but u cannot blame the immigrants…among immigrants not many percentages ve become these types f monster….most f them r law abiding…..some f them may do some illegal work but most f them r skilled workers who back home had an reputed life, career…but in those countries from which they come politically so unstable some ve to move here…or may b some here r for educational purpose…in kingston for example most ppl r from Canada origin so…u cannot blame entire immigrants for what he has done…this man should be rotten in prison but he should not be the cause u blame other immigrants…and i m not an immigrant…i just know a lots f them and most f them r really humble…

I work with the worst of the worst and the majority of your comments are no where near the facts you think you speak of. The comment are empty and are more than welcome to walk a mile in my boots….not only do I know these pieces of human waste I know their crimes and read the victims impact statements. This guy wrote to me as I worked for a religious institution. He pretended to be very very religious and seemed to have repented. Then one day he told me about his success in the entertainment industry. He has not changed a bit. Glad he will be deported.
