Victoria Stafford-Still Missing
The morning of April 08/2009 was the last time Victoria “Tori” Stafford’s family has seen her, and except for the brief video of her released by the police have no idea what has happened to her. In the days and weeks following her abrupt disappearance many different rumours have surfaced, none of them based on fact. This remarkable recreation of the person last seen with Tori still remains the best lead that police have, and they are still actively searching door to door in the area as well as local landfills. Police have also released pictures of a car that was seen in the video and are very interested in speaking with the driver. He may be a very important witness, and does’nt know it.
Police have been able to determine that Victoria and her abductor were last seen crossing Fyfe Ave and entering a parking lot. This would have them walking east away from where the camera captured the images in the video.
As you can see from this picture it is only a 10 minute walk or so from Victoria’s school to her home. What is so baffling is that whomever she is walking with is not showing any sign of hostility or force as they are walking, and changing direction from her normal routine.
Zooming in to the area that they would be heading for, it is apparent that a few different possibilities exist if a vehicle is waiting. It is unknown the date of this shot from Google maps, but it clearly shows a transport truck parked at a warehouse, and what appears to be a smaller truck behind it. Note that the transport is not at a dock. It is very possible that a vehicle of some sort was in this area the day Tori went missing. I wonder if there were any cameras at this warehouse or business? Norwich Ave (north-south) is a mere 2-3 minutes to the 401, so if a vehicle was involved and waiting then Victoria could have been a long way from home before she was even reported missing.
Please take a good look at this composite drawing of the person believed to be the one walking with Victoria. There have been many comments both in Facebook and other blogs that this looks like Tara Stafford (Tori’s mom), but until proved otherwise let’s ignore that and focus elsewhere. Do you know someone that looks like this and may have been in Woodstock?

I am a father of 5 children, and the threat of this happening to one of them is very real, and terrifying. Having the option to have a GPS chip for them (especially my youngest ones) is something I am working very hard to make happen. The technology exists right now and with some careful planning could be in use very rapidly. Tori would be home now, if she had one. Countless other children would be saved, and the people responsible for these crimes off the streets.
It is not someone else’s problem, our children need us to protect them however we can. Enough is Enough.
