Looking for help
Normally I wouldnt post this sort of thing here but we are getting a little worried. Our son came home from a relatives last week near cardinal with a rash and sores that have gotten worse over time. Now our 6 year old has a little spot that “appears” to be similar.

What the heck is this?
Diagnosis or “guesses” from M.D’s so far
Wild parsnip
Autoimmune deficiency
Pemphigus vulgaris
Update
It is impetigo with a staph infection. Antibiotics and steroid cream has been prescribed.

My dad got something similar a couple of months ago. It was a type of flesh eating bacteria. It was treated with antibiotic and went away quickly. It seems to start at a scratch or insect bite. If it is the same thing then treat it fast! A friend’s sister had it and left it too long and needed skin grafts. All the best.
Me again. Actually, It looks exactly like what my father had. It’s not the really bad flesh eating bacteria, but a more common relative. More common (according to the MD) than you would think. Get another opinion or sent pictures to a doctor in Manitoba.
How do you know for certain its not the bad version Brotherssmartmouth? It looks so painful Beast. I hope it gets straightened out quick and everyone’s ok
I’m not a doctor but I checked out the internet and found something remarkably similar called Impetigo. If not suggested already, google impetigo pictures.
We saw that before but didnt look at all the pics. And one of our friends posted that after I showed the pics on FB and that seems like a perfect match. Thanks Dave good sleuthing!
Taking our little one over to the clinic this morning. Pretty sure it is impetigo, the pics are an exact match and the other symptoms are present as well. And because of the wrong diagnosis “not being contagious” we are certain that’s what our daughter has now too. Wonderful.
