Where is Jessie Foster?
Christmas 2005, was the last time that anyone has seen Jessie, who was 21 at the time she went missing. The details and circumstances of her disappearance are disturbing, and in hindsight all the warning signs were there, but at the time went unnoticed. Her mom would later learn that Jessie had been living with 39-year-old Peter Todd, who was well-known to police as a pimp. What her mother also didn’t know at the time of Jessie’s last visit was that Jessie had also been arrested for prostitution a few months before. In March 2006, Jessie called her mom to tell her she wanted to come home. Four days later, Jessie spoke to her sister on the phone. And then, silence. Three other young women in similar circumstances also went missing around the same time, and were all eventually found dead. But Jessie’s mom Glendene Grant, has never given up hope that her daughter is still alive.
This was 5 years ago, and still no Jessie. Nothing.
Jessie was born May 27, 1984 in Calgary AB then the family moved and she grew up in Kamloops BC.
At the time Jessie went missing police questioned Peter Todd, who claimed he had no idea where she went, or what happened to her. And since police had no evidence to suggest otherwise continued to investigate, but came up empty. No leads, and no clues. No Jessie. Is she a victim of human trafficking? Is she dead and buried somewhere in the desert like so many criminals of days gone by. One thing is for sure, Jessie is no criminal and although might have had brushes with the law it is apparent it was not by choice. Rather a means of survival either keeping her captors happy and/or just trying to stay alive. The numbers of missing children are alarming and growing. Almost daily we are faced with another disappearance or murder. We are also informed of the ineptness (sometimes) of the police authorities tasked to protect us. Think Jaycee Dugard.
The last Picture is of Jessie and Peter Todd. Now normally I do not like to judge a book by it’s cover or a person by a picture, but I get the creeps just looking at that guy.
This is the same guy that was “supposed” to be in love with Jessie but has no idea where she is, and does not seem to care either. And so why are police not taking a more active role in getting the truth out of this guy? The system? Evidence? Obviously the way it is now the system is broken, big time.
We need to do more about finding these missing children, adults, men, women. It does not matter what age they are, what sex they are, or the colour of their skin. They are being held against their will and/or facing grave danger everyday. Not to mention the horror they have experienced being abducted in the first place.
There needs to be more of a deterrent in place to give these criminals second thought about what they are considering doing. To know that an automatic life sentence awaits them might stop some of them from going ahead with their plans. To know that a death sentence awaits them if they murder that person/child. THAT is going to make some sort of effect on them. We need to do whatever we can to change the tide of this battle. It is starting to look like we are losing. Are we, or is it just becoming more reported.
One thing is for certain. Jessie Foster did not run away, and she is not staying away from her family of her own free will. And she needs to be found and reunited with those that love her. She needs to be found now.
If you know anything about Jessie or have any information that you think might help please contact your local police force and tell them. You never know what might be important.
